KY partners with PPATK to screen Supreme Court candidates
Jakarta, July 16 -- The Judicial Commission (KY) is collaborating with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) to conduct background checks on candidates for Supreme Court justice and ad hoc judge positions in the 2026 recruitment.
According to a statement on the official KY website cited on Thursday, the involvement of PPATK in the screening was discussed during a meeting between KY leadership and PPATK Head Ivan Yustiavandana in Jakarta.
KY Chairman Abdul Chair Ramadhan stated that the background checks would involve exchanging financial transaction analysis data. This builds upon the two institutions' existing partnership aimed at monitoring judges' financial transactions.
