Jakarta, Sept. 9 -- Indonesia's National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) has urged Papua police to conduct a thorough investigation into a suspected attack on its Jayapura office on Wednesday.

Komnas HAM Monitoring and Investigation Commissioner Saurlin P. Siagian said the suspected attack involved an unidentified person throwing what appeared to be a Molotov cocktail.

"The suspected attack involved an unidentified person throwing a bottle containing flammable liquid with a fuse, commonly known as a Molotov cocktail," Saurlin said.

He said the object struck at least three motorcycles parked at the office but did not cause a fire.
