Kepulauan Seribu to host Bahari Festival to attract more tourists
Jakarta, Sept. 8 -- The Kepulauan Seribu administration will hold its Bahari Festival on Sept. 19-20, 2026, seeking to attract more tourists to the island district and boost the local economy.
"The Bahari Festival will help increase tourist visits. This is positive and should stimulate the local economy," said Endro Mukti Wibowo, an economic and development official.
The festival will be centered in the area behind the North Kepulauan Seribu District Office, he said in a statement quoted here Tuesday.
The event will feature competitions involving fishermen and tourists, offering activities designed to showcase the district's maritime attractions.
