Jakarta, April 12 -- State-owned railway company PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has adopted green energy across all its locomotives and generators using B40 biodiesel and is preparing to transition to B50 to support efficient and sustainable transportation.
"All locomotives and generators operated by KAI use renewable energy through B40 biodiesel," KAI Vice President of Corporate Communications Anne Purba said on Sunday.
She said the use of B40 reflects KAI's support for the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources' strategic initiative to expand renewable energy in the transportation sector.
