Surabaya, East Java, Sept. 8 -- Indonesia's state railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is offering 11,554 seats on 21 trains to Jakarta from Surabaya on Tuesday, responding to travel demand following Mount Anak Krakatau's eruption.

Mahendro Trang Bawono, public relations manager for KAI's Surabaya regional division, said the capacity includes 10,572 seats on regular trains and two additional services.

"For Jakarta, we have 21 services with 11,554 seats, including regular and additional trains," Mahendro said here Tuesday.

KAI also increased capacity on the overnight Argo Bromo Anggrek train by 50 seats, from 400 to 450, he said.
