Jayapura, June 1 -- Jayapura Central General Hospital (RSUP) is optimistic about becoming a referral center for healthcare services in the Western Pacific region through strengthening services, improving human resources, and continuously modernizing healthcare facilities.

The hospital's President Director, Petronella Marcia Risamasu, said in Jayapura on Monday that this commitment is reflected in ongoing efforts to improve facilities, services, and human resource development to support more modern and integrated healthcare services in Papua.

"The existence of the hospital is part of the Health Ministry's efforts to ensure equitable distribution of healthcare services throughout Indonesia, including in the eastern region," she said.
