Jakarta spent Rp1.9 trillion to handle slum areas in 7 years
Jakarta, May 22 -- The Jakarta Provincial Government used up to Rp1.9 trillion total budget to reduce the number of slum areas in the city since 2018 to 2025.
"Totally, the budget for slum area arrangement, which was implemented during the 2018-2025 period, is approximately Rp1.9 trillion. Thus, the average annual budget allocation is about Rp200 billion," Head of Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Land Office (DPRKP), Kelik Indriyanto, said here on Friday.
Indriyanto noted the Jakarta Provincial Government has consistently allocated a budget for slum area arrangement through various settlement quality improvement programs.
