Jakarta, Nov. 1 -- Jakarta police officers greeted participants and distributed food at the 2026 Palestine Solidarity Rally near the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta on Sunday, as part of community-focused policing efforts.

Jakarta Police Public Relations Chief Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto said police services focused not only on security but also on making participants and the public feel safe and comfortable.

"We are here under the spirit of 'Serving Jakarta' to ensure all participants can attend the event safely and comfortably," Budi said in Jakarta on Sunday.

Officers approached participants resting with their families, greeted children and chatted with residents around the event venue, he said.
