Jakarta, June 15 -- The Jakarta Metropolitan Police have deployed 585 personnel to secure the state visit of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and First Lady Elke Budenbender in Jakarta on Monday.

Jakarta Metropolitan Police spokesperson Chief Commissioner Budi Hermanto said the comprehensive security operation reflects the Indonesian National Police's (Polri) commitment to ensuring the safety of state guests and demonstrating the highest level of respect for visiting dignitaries.

"We have ensured that all personnel are stationed along the travel routes and at the event venues so that the entire diplomatic agenda can proceed safely, orderly, and smoothly," he said in Jakarta on Monday.
