Jakarta, Aug. 28 -- The Jakarta Metropolitan Police and Jakarta Military Command have made post-riot recovery in Jakarta a top priority, while also assessing the material and immaterial losses caused by the incident.

"We are calculating the material and immaterial losses suffered by the public as well as public facilities whose functions were disrupted due to the riots," the Public Relations Head for Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Senior Commissioner Budi Hermanto, said this at a press conference here on Friday.

He said the psychological and immaterial impact on the public is relatively greater than physical losses alone.
