Jakarta, March 24 -- The Jakarta Provincial Government is preparing a revitalization plan for Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal following waterlogging around the site during heavy rainfall on March 22.

Head of the Jakarta Transportation Office, Syafrin Liputo, said on Tuesday that the medium- and long-term plan aims to prevent similar flooding in the future.

"We will carry out revitalization of Kampung Rambutan Terminal to anticipate flooding risks going forward," Liputo remarked while inspecting return-flow readiness at the terminal.

Built in the 1990s, the terminal has not undergone major upgrades, making revitalization a priority.
