Jakarta, April 10 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo announced plans to issue a governor's regulation (Pergub) to support the implementation of Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 on Electronic System Governance for Child Protection (PP Tunas).

"Following a meeting, the Jakarta provincial government has agreed to devise a Pergub as a derivative regulation to PP Tunas," he remarked in Central Jakarta on Friday.

Wibowo noted that children and teenagers in Jakarta possess relatively high digital literacy compared to those in other regions.

This prompted the capital government to move quickly in enforcing the regulation which restricts access to certain digital platforms for persons under 16 years old.
