Jakarta fire forces 1,000 civil servants to work remotely
Jakarta, Aug. 9 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said about 1,000 civil servants, affected by a fire at the Jakarta Revenue Agency (Bapenda) building, will work remotely until their offices are safe to reoccupy.
The employees will use work-from-home (WFH) or work-from-anywhere (WFA) arrangements to keep the Jakarta government services running while the damaged building remains unavailable, Pramono said here on Sunday.
The arrangement will remain until the authorities determine the building is safe for normal operations, he added.
"Until this can run, we are implementing Work From Home or Work From Anywhere, so that ongoing work is not disrupted," Pramono said after visiting a pedestrian bridge.
