Jakarta, Feb. 24 -- Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung has prohibited the construction of new padel courts in residential areas to prevent disruption to residents' daily activities.
"For padel courts, it has been decided that new permits for the construction of padel courts are not allowed in residential zones. All must be located in commercial zones, for new ones," Anung said at City Hall here on Tuesday.
He conveyed this after holding a limited meeting with his ranks to discuss regulations on padel courts in Jakarta.
Meanwhile, for padel courts already operating in residential areas and holding Building Approval (PBG) permits, Anung instructed his ranks, such as mayors and sub-district heads, to negotiate with the owners.
