Jakarta, April 7 -- Indonesia's presidential palaces will be open for school visits to introduce the nation's governance to younger generations.

"On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, President Prabowo Subianto instructed the Palace to be open for schoolchildren," Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated in Jakarta.

Wijaya said the instruction is consistent with the president's mission to develop and nurture the younger generation by offering them a unique learning experience to study the nation's history and governance.

Students of Central Jakarta State Vocational High School (SMKN) 19 became the inaugural guests at the Presidential Palace Complex following its official opening.
