Indonesian police seek Interpol Red Notice for PMI smuggling suspect
Tangerang, Banten, May 27 -- The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police have filed a Red Notice with the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) against a fugitive identified as LA, suspected of recruiting prospective Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) for jobs in Cambodia.
"We have submitted this Red Notice for follow-up with Interpol," the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Wisnu Wardana, said on Wednesday.
LA, identified as a woman from Bangka Belitung, allegedly fled the country after being placed on the wanted list in connection with a suspected labor smuggling case.
