Indonesia, June 1 -- Central Java Police have named 11 foreign nationals as suspects in an online fraud syndicate case involving romance and investment scams, known as "pig butchering," which operated in Sukoharjo District and targeted victims in the United States.

"There are 39 suspects in total. Seven from Nepal, four from Myanmar, and the rest are Indonesians," the Director of Cyber Investigation at the Central Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Himawan Sutanto Saragih, informed on Monday.

According to him, the suspects had different roles, ranging from leaders and marketers to models to persuade victims.
