Jakarta, April 7 -- Speaker of Indonesia's People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Ahmad Muzani urged Iran, Israel, and the United States to halt hostilities and return to diplomacy to ease escalating tensions in the Middle East.

"I, Ahmad Muzani, Speaker of the People's Consultative Assembly, call on all countries involved in the war to cease all hostilities in the Middle East," he said in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.
