Jakarta, July 28 -- The Indonesian para-athletics team secured 15 gold medals and one silver medal at the 2026 World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Tlaxcala, Mexico, held from July 21 to 24.

Indonesia finished as the runner-up in the final standings, placing just behind the host nation, Mexico, which brought hundreds of athletes and dominated the competition with 99 golds, 101 silvers, and 81 bronzes. The championship drew participants from 26 countries.

Indonesian para-athletics head coach Setyo Budi Hartanto said in an official statement released here on Monday (July 27) that the results are a testament to the success of the country's long-term national training camp program.
