Indonesian Navy reinforces ASEAN maritime security at 20th ANCM
Jakarta, Aug. 20 -- Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali represented Indonesia at the 20th ASEAN Navy Chiefs' Meeting (ANCM) 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, on Wednesday, to bolster maritime security and strengthen defense cooperation across Southeast Asia.
"Through active participation in the 20th ANCM 2026, the Indonesian Navy continues to contribute to strengthening an inclusive regional maritime security architecture and realizing a secure, stable, and peaceful Southeast Asia region," Ali said in a statement.
The summit, held from August 18 to 21, 2026, gathered naval leaders from across the bloc under the theme "One ASEAN, One Maritime Vision, Naval Cooperation for Maritime Security, Prosperity and Sustainability in ASEAN".
