Bekasi, Aug. 13 -- The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) announced its target to build 11,000 vital public facilities and infrastructure, comprising 5,000 bridges and 6,000 safe water access points, nationwide throughout 2026.

"To date, we have built 2,500 bridges at various locations. We are now able to finish construction at between 50 and 100 locations on a daily basis," Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak remarked in Bekasi District, West Java, on Thursday.

During the inauguration of the bridges and 3,000 clean water sources, he noted that the TNI is developing infrastructure tailored to the actual needs of the people, following field surveys informed by reports from the media.
