Indonesian marine corps, Dutch military seek stronger defense ties
Jakarta, Oct. 2 -- The Indonesian Navy Marine Corps (Kormar) is seeking to strengthen defense cooperation with the Netherlands military through joint training initiatives and the establishment of a strategic bilateral forum.
The commitment was underscored during a courtesy visit by the Defense Attache of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Colonel Hans van Reenen, to the Commandant of the Marine Corps, Lieutenant General (Mar) Endi Supardi, at the Hartono Marine Base in South Jakarta on Thursday (October 1).
According to an official Indonesian Navy statement released Friday, a key priority of the partnership involves elite skill-sharing.
