Indonesian Hajj pilgrims to begin return on June 1
Makkah, May 30 -- Indonesia's Hajj Organizing Committee (PPIH) is finalizing arrangements for the return of pilgrims starting June 1, following the smooth completion of the peak Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia.
Inspector General of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Dendi Suryadi said the repatriation process would proceed in an orderly manner based on the departure schedule of pilgrimage groups from Indonesia.
"The first group departed from Indonesia on April 22, 2026. Ideally, they should be the first to return on June 1," Dendi said in Mecca on Saturday.
He explained that the return schedule serves as the primary basis for PPIH in preparing operational arrangements, including flight schedules, bus transfers to airports, and hotel services....
