Jakarta, May 27 -- Trade Minister Budi Santoso has met sellers and marketplace operators to seek a fair solution for platforms, merchants and consumers within Indonesia's e-commerce ecosystem.

Santoso said the discussions were expected to provide input for mutually beneficial policies and stronger cooperation among stakeholders.

"We cannot solve the issues instantly. All input has been accommodated, and we expect a shared commitment to build a fair e-commerce ecosystem," Santoso said in a statement on Wednesday.

Seller representatives were given an opportunity to explain obstacles they faced while operating on e-commerce platforms, including complaints related to platform policies and services.
