Jakarta, March 25 -- The Primary and Secondary Education Ministry has proposed an additional budget of Rp89.5 trillion (around US$5.3 billion) to revitalize 60 thousand schools across Indonesia, Chief of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) M. Qodari confirmed.
Speaking at a press conference in the KSP building in Jakarta on Wednesday, he explained that the request had been forwarded to the Ministry of Finance under the Additional Budget Allocations (ABT) scheme.
He noted that nationwide school renovation is part of President Prabowo Subianto's quick-win programs, aimed at boosting the national education system.
