Jakarta, July 13 -- Indonesia's Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI) is promoting stronger cooperatives to expand economic opportunities for migrant workers and their families through sustainable empowerment programs, Minister Mukhtarudin said on Sunday.

Mukhtarudin made the remarks during the 79th National Cooperative Day celebration, attended by President Prabowo Subianto at Indonesia Arena in Jakarta.

"Strengthening cooperatives will create more economic opportunities for communities, including Indonesian migrant workers and their families, through sustainable empowerment programs," he said.
