Jakarta, April 29 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Transportation conducted a spot inspection of the Xanh SM (Green SM) taxi pool in Bekasi, West Java, on Tuesday evening following a train collision at East Bekasi Station.

Director General of Land Transportation Aan Suhanan said the inspection was carried out to ensure compliance with the Public Transportation Company Safety Management System (SMK PAU).

"In public transportation operations, operators must meet safety requirements under SMK PAU. This inspection aims to ensure all aspects are implemented, from pre-operational vehicle checks to driver competency and health," he said in a statement.
