Jakarta, May 5 -- Indonesia has completed nearly all planned temporary housing units for residents displaced by last year's floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, authorities said, marking a key milestone in post-disaster recovery efforts.
Data from the Sumatra Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Task Force (PRR) that ANTARA quoted here Tuesday showed that as of May 4, 2026, 1,024 temporary homes were built in North Sumatra and 830 units in West Sumatra.
In Aceh Province, 16,785 units have been completed out of 18,380 planned, representing about 91% progress, according to the task force's latest figures.
