Jakarta, July 4 -- Indonesian Ambassador to Iran Rolliansyah Soemirat has represented the Indonesian government to the funeral procession of the late supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Yvonne Mewengkang said the Indonesian government has received an official invitation from the Iranian government to attend the procession and Jakarta commended the Tehran's invitation.

"Regarding the matter, the Indonesian government has conveyed to its Iranian counterpart that Indonesia will be represented by its envoy in Tehran," Mewengkang stated in her written remarks here on Saturday.
