Jakarta, Sept. 9 -- Indonesia's Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin hosted his counterpart from Sudan, Lt. General Hassan Daoud Kabroun Kayan, at the Indonesia Defense Ministry Office in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Sjamsoeddin welcomed Kayan upon his arrival at 10:31 a.m. Jakarta time before the two proceeded to a ceremonial platform for the rendition of the national anthems of Indonesia and Sudan. They then inspected troops and saluted Indonesian heroes.

At the time of writing, both ministers remained engaged in a closed-door meeting.
