Jakarta, April 23 -- Indonesia's athletics team won eight gold and one silver medals at the 86th Singapore Open Track & Field Championships 2026.

Chairman of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Marciano Norman praised the athletes for their achievement on the international stage.

"This achievement is expected to motivate young athletes and serve as evaluation material to achieve higher results," he said in a statement on Thursday.

The Indonesian Athletics Federation (PB PASI) fielded a contingent of 15 athletes, five coaches, and three supporting staff for the tournament, held at the Singapore National Stadium from April 15 to 17, winning a total of nine medals.
