Indonesia warns 22 platform operators to immediately register
Jakarta, July 9 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has issued written warnings to 22 digital platform operators that have yet to register as official Electronic System Operators (PSEs) following last week's notifications.
According to Indonesian law, all domestic and foreign entities operating electronic systems in the country are required to register with the government as part of efforts to protect users.
"Through this warning letter, we are giving these PSEs an opportunity to immediately fulfill their registration requirements before we take legal enforcement action in accordance with prevailing regulations," said Alexander Sabar, the ministry's Director General of Digital Space Oversight, in a statement ...
