Indonesia uses hospital ship to expand family planning access
Jakarta, Sept. 30 -- The Ministry of Population and Family Development is expanding access to Indonesia's Family Planning (KB) program services through the Dr. Lie Dharmawan Hospital Ship in Donggala District, Central Sulawesi.
The KB program promotes informed family planning and reproductive health decisions, including responsible contraception use to support family well-being.
Ratu Ayu Isyana Bagoes Oka, Deputy Minister of Population and Family Development, stated on Wednesday that the government recognizes Indonesia's archipelagic geography as a primary challenge to ensuring equitable family planning access.
