Jakarta, Sept. 24 -- Manpower Minister Yassierli said data on foreign workers can help Indonesia identify labor-market needs and prepare domestic workers with skills required by businesses and industries.

Speaking in Jakarta on Thursday, he said the data shows which jobs and skills are most in demand across business and industrial sectors.

"With prominent data, we can learn which roles foreign workers are predominantly filling, such as process engineers, for instance. This indicates that the labor market has a need for personnel in these specific fields," he said.
