Jakarta, March 5 -- Indonesian Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid has called on digital platform giant Meta to be transparent regarding its algorithms and content moderation.
She made the statement during an unannounced visit at Meta's office in Jakarta on Wednesday. The inspection was conducted because Meta is considered to have failed to comply with Indonesian regulations.
"We spoke with Meta today to request several things, primarily transparency in their algorithms and content moderation," she said following the visit.
