Jakarta, March 24 -- Indonesia's Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi urged logistics companies to comply with a joint decree on freight vehicle restrictions to ensure a smooth and safe return flow during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr period.

"The peak of the return flow is predicted to occur in several waves on March 24, 25, and 27, 2026," he said in Jakarta on Monday.

The decree, issued by the Ministry of Transportation, the National Police, and the Ministry of Public Works, regulates traffic and crossings during the holiday period.

Under the policy, freight vehicles with three or more axles are restricted from operating from March 13 to 29.
