Jakarta, Sept. 13 -- Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto urged developing countries to seek a greater role in shaping global governance, saying their interests could suffer if they remain excluded from international rule-making.

Accompanying President Prabowo Subianto at the BRICS Summit in New Delhi, India, on Saturday, Airlangga warned that limited participation in international regulatory negotiations could leave developing nations subject to decisions made without them.

Indonesia will continue working to build a more inclusive, representative and equitable global governance system, Airlangga said in a statement cited here on Sunday.
