Indonesia urges ceasefire, diplomacy amid escalating Yemen crisis
Jakarta, Sept. 10 -- Indonesia has called for an immediate cessation of violence and urged a return to peaceful diplomacy following a fresh wave of escalation in the Yemen conflict that saw cross-border attacks hit several areas in Saudi Arabia.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Jakarta expressed deep concern over the intensifying hostilities, particularly cross-border strikes launched by the Houthi group on Tuesday (Sept 8).
The attacks targeted multiple locations in Saudi Arabia-including Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, and Najran-causing civilian casualties and damaging local public and economic infrastructure.
