Jakarta, Feb. 24 -- Indonesia's Investment and Downstreaming Ministry said on Tuesday that trade and investment cooperation with the United States remains guided by the country's long-standing "free and active" foreign policy principle.

Deputy Investment and Downstreaming Minister Todotua Pasaribu said Indonesia continues to maintain communication with various countries, including the United States, to strengthen economic and investment ties.

"We adhere to that principle. Trade and other cooperation are conducted under a free and active policy. With the US and other partners, it is necessary to keep communication open," Pasaribu said.
