Jakarta, July 22 -- Indonesia is laying the groundwork for a zero-emission future by launching a plan to develop a 194-kilometer Green Hydrogen Corridor to support the country's transition toward a low-carbon economy.

The plan, announced at the 2026 Global Hydrogen Ecosystem Summit (GHES) here on Wednesday, outlines a strategic infrastructure network linking Jakarta, Karawang and Patimban to connect clean energy production with major industrial hubs, key ports and economic growth centers.

Head of the Human Resources Development Agency at the Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ministry Prahoro Nurtjahyo emphasized that the initiative goes beyond meeting hydrogen production targets.
