Jakarta, April 29 -- Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani is targeting the second phase of strategic downstreaming projects, including the construction of gasoline refinery facilities in Cilacap and Dumai, to save Indonesia US$1.25 billion in foreign exchange.
"The development in Cilacap and Dumai refineries will reduce imports by approximately US$1.25 billion per year," he said at the launch of the 13 second phase-downstreaming projects in Cilacap, Central Java, as monitored on Wednesday.
Rosan, who also acts as CEO of Danantara Investment Management Agency, explained that strengthening energy security is a priority in five projects in the energy sector to reduce dependence on imported fuel oil.
