Indonesia to provide care for crew freed from Somali pirates
Tangerang, Oct. 6 -- Indonesia will provide medical and psychological care for four Indonesian crew members who were held hostage by Somali pirates, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Sugiono said on Tuesday.
The four crew members of the MT Honour 25 returned to Indonesia on Tuesday evening after being held hostage by a pirate group in Somalia.
"I want to ensure that the next stage of this process, including healthcare for our fellow citizens, can be carried out properly," Sugiono said at Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang on Tuesday.
He said the four victims would receive comprehensive medical and psychological treatment to help them fully recover, both physically and mentally.
