Jakarta, July 10 -- The Tourism Ministry aims to attract 750,000 to 820,000 high-quality Indian visitors in 2026, building on momentum from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's July 6-8 state visit to Indonesia.

Tourism Ministry Spokesperson Nia Niscaya said here Friday that Modi's visit is expected to boost Indian interest in Indonesian destinations and strengthen confidence in the country's tourism safety and appeal.

She said Indian tourist arrivals have risen steadily over the past three years, reflecting growing demand for travel to Indonesia.

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) recorded 606,439 Indian arrivals in 2023, rising to 710,207 in 2024 and 734,490 in 2025.
