Indonesia targets seven percent investment growth to spur growth
Jakarta, Sept. 1 -- Indonesia's Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa is targeting investment growth of up to seven percent to help lift economic growth to six percent in 2027.
"To achieve six percent economic growth in 2027, we must accelerate investment growth to seven percent," Purbaya said after meeting lawmakers in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Purbaya said the target would be pursued through cooperation among the government, private sector and Danantara, Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund.
The government will serve as an investment catalyst, while the private sector is expected to remain the main investment driver, he said.
