Jakarta, Aug. 19 -- The Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ministry targets Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) from geothermal energy to reach Rp2.6 trillion in 2026, up from Rp2.46 trillion recorded in 2025.

"The target for this year has indeed increased. We are optimistic about reaching Rp2.6 trillion, given the significant amount of drilling that needs to be carried out," Eniya Listiani Dewi, an official at the ministry, said in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Dewi noted that geothermal energy is the only segment of the new and renewable energy (EBT) sector that contributes to PNBP.

In addition to increasing PNBP, Dewi said she is targeting US$1.1 billion in investment in the geothermal sector in 2026.
