Indonesia, June 6 -- The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is targeting the revitalization of at least 71,744 schools nationwide in 2026 to improve educational facilities and support teaching, learning, and other student-related activities.

"This year, we are targeting the revitalization of around 71,744 schools across the country," Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu'ti said on Saturday.

He added that the school revitalization program is part of the government's efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure in all regions, including buffer areas surrounding the country's future capital, Nusantara.
