Jakarta, March 5 -- Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia stated that the Indonesian government is preparing measures to accelerate the fuel-to-electric motorcycle conversion program, including increasing the conversion target to approximately 6 million units per year.

He noted that the conversion program has been running for several years with a target of approximately 200,000 units per year. According to him, the government will increase the target following the emergence of new technologies.

"Now, the technologies are starting to become available and are cheaper. Thus, the target might be around 4, 5, or up to 6 million," Lahadalia said at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Thursday.
