Jakarta, April 9 -- Indonesia on Thursday strongly condemned Israeli strikes on multiple locations in Lebanon, including Beirut, saying the attacks caused civilian casualties and infrastructure damage and risked escalating regional tensions.

The Foreign Ministry said the strikes constituted a serious violation of international law, including international humanitarian law, and urged accountability for actions that harm civilians and essential public facilities.

The attack also "risks exacerbating regional tensions that endanger global security," the ministry said in a statement posted on the social media platform X on Thursday.
