Indonesia shifts focus to high-value added product exports
Jakarta, July 8 -- The Trade Ministry is shifting its strategy away from primary commodities, prioritizing the export of high-value-added products and services to accelerate national economic growth and sharpen Indonesia's global competitiveness.
Fajarini Puntodewi, Director General of National Export Development at the ministry, announced that the government's long-term export blueprint will focus heavily on industrial downstreaming and the digital economy rather than a traditional reliance on raw materials.
