Jakarta, July 17 -- Indonesia's Air Force has deployed five T-50i Golden Eagle fighter jets to a multinational air exercise hosted by the Royal Australian Air Force in Darwin from July 17 to August 7, aiming to strengthen operational capabilities and international defense ties.

The aircraft and their crews were officially dispatched by Air Operations Command Chief Air Vice Marshal Djoko Hadipurwanto at Iswahjudi Air Base in Magetan, East Java, on Wednesday, according to a statement received in Jakarta on Friday.

Djoko said the exercise is among the world's most prestigious air combat drills, bringing together military personnel from 20 partner nations to train in complex multinational operations.
